humans latest ep emerges with obvious maturation, each track carrying a depth of sound, evolved production, and focused vision, while never straying from their early commitment to make music for the dancefloor. the duo recently played sxsw and cmw and are set to tour with young empires this summer.

in 2011 jaki whitren & john cartwrights original international times lp saw a release on emotional rescue after originally hitting the shelves in 1982. the pair are now part of a remix ep by misericord and one-time internasjonal producer al usher, who supplies two remixes and a dub, while a spacey aphophenia dub to the track times has added for extra measure. ushers first rework of stay cool sounds like a 2013 meeting between a purple-clad prince and a young diana ross, while the dub version sees princes funk make way for giorgio moroder sound design. on the flip is a acoustic-leaning and inspirational this time, which could easily soundtrack a mesmeric highway-driving scene from thelma & louise.

following on from the release of david ks well-received sneakers & playground ep, the unnerving pairing of nico & pherox (aka tim querengaesser) return with a record that is veiled by in a dark and mysterious shroud. nico (previously known as verena) is a young and fresh female artist, influenced from an early age by the classical work of her father (who worked as a music composer), whilst pherox is a more familiar presence in todays deep clubbing landscape, having released on mupa, catenaccio, dumb unit, stock5 and his very own label, slash. on this ep, the pair explore a broad palette of sounds, taking in italian horror film-esque chords, chopped and screwed vocal samples, rolling basslines, soothsaying vocals, drawn out fog horn stabs. this is deep music, flavoured by the nocturnal, tinted by the eighties, and ultimately full of originality.

andres zaccos very own greener imprint is back with a brand new 12 inch release. as you can already tell from the labels frequency in output (the last 12 inch, andres zacco & franco cinellis the secret mission ep came out in may 2011), greener places its primary focus on quality, not quantity. for this fourth outing, greener is glad to welcome j.c. – a young, up-andcoming producer from madrid, who presents here his personal take on techno. both titles on the m-theory ep put forward a fine mixture of unyielding, grounding rhythmic structures and mesmerizing synths, building into grand momentums.

antigone is an artists coming from the depth paris producing and digging for several years now. the three tracks are a travel in to different style of techno with the intention to reach a certain emotion that is close from nostalgia and really deep feeling. the challenge of this work was to find a good balance between sound and colour, focusing on an old sci-­&#8208,,,fi landscape. with a really mature perception this young artist is developing his own sound, a detroit atmospheres, openly characterize this ep, but it remains antigone work at the end with all his sense of details and perception.

20 years ago the track *unfuture*, release on sven väths imprint eye q, marked a milestone in techno productions with its uncompromising style and sound, delivering a view on techno which was revolutionary at that time: stripped down to only a couple of sounds in general, the track had an impact on dancefloors as not often seen before in those trance-dominated times - and still has! alex grabbed the vinyl out of his vinyl-collection after years, did an edit for his own, sent it to pascal feos who produced the original back then and who really liked this edit and the idea in general, and so alex decided to start a remixproject on this pure classic track with young, but also established artists who were not afraid of taking the adventure to remix a track that actually consists of nothing more than a distorted kickdrum, a really monotone off-beat organ sound and an oldschool acidline. here we are with the first part of the repaints of this alltime-classic, coming from uk techno-heavywight and legend mark broom with two interpretation as well as berlins uprising and promising vault-series mastermind subjected. true and high class recycling again on credo to save our planet from bad music

paula temple joins the r&s fold as the first female solo artist to be signed in the labels 30 years history. her first release speck of the future was way back in 2002 and gained her the support of jeff mills, claude young, dave clarke and the late john peel amongst others. after co-developing one of the first midi controllers for dj/live performance and teaching kids in her neighbourhood how to dj, paula temple finally returns to her first love - techno music.

freakadelle, the vinyl and digital record label of salzburgs cultural association freaksound starts with four extended tracks and one remix of gerald peklars album freiflug, which has been released on lamb lane records in january 2013. the uncut vinyl versions of the tracks all have a melodic and spherical touch in common and stand somewhere in between tech-house and techno. in addition, juergen vonbank delivers a moody deep house remix of the track abflug. gerald peklar is founder and head of the non-commercial electronic music club freaksound, which serves to foster the local scene and especially young musicians. freakadelle embodies the club members subcultural understanding of innovative non-commercial club music.
